Here is a very small sample of Lori’s various interests.

When Lori hit the big 50, she decided to try something that she had never done before.  She took up running with the hopes of participating in an half-marathon.   With the guidance from her running friends, she started a combination of walking/running for short distances in early 2012 and gradually built up her endurance over the period of months.  Much to her surprise, when she was running few miles, she actually found herself enjoying it.   With this newfound joy, she successfully completed the half-marathon in the spring of 2013.

Every once in a while, Lori enjoys being creative.   Actually, when she was in high school, she had explored the possibilities of majoring in either arts or architecture in college, before finally deciding to major in computer science.

Here are photos of Lori’s “Friendship Ring” clay sculpture which she had created and then generously donated to the 2015 NJ Deaf Association of the Deaf (NJAD) & NJ Register of Interpreters for the Deaf (NJRID) Biennial Conference for their live auction.  Click on this photo to see it in greater details.
